I finally found a recipe book! Best of all it was only £1.29 from Home Bargains (such a great shop!).

  1. Nice! I hope you share! I have shelves of recipe books, including some old ones from my mom and grandmother. I love to sit and pour over the recipes!

  2. It’s so cute! YES! I have a recipe book I purchased before I got married – 24 yrs ago! A few years ago I bought a new one and thought I’d move everything into it. I couldn’t! I’m attached to that little recipe book. So now, I fill the second one with new recipes – we are slowly bonding 🙂

  3. That’s a nice one!! I have a real small, crappy kitchen and don’t cook much. I go out for dinner about four or five times a week.. (shameless)
But one day when I will have a beautiful kitchen I will keep a recipe book with beautiful pictures 😀

  4. Oh my gosh. I have printed recipes stashed in a binder about 2″ thick. I should thin them out and put them in a smaller spot; there’s something lovely about having an actual book to reference. Last October I eBay’d a version 1 iPad and lately I’ve been adding them to it. Who knew I’d use that little sucker more for cooking and WordPress than anything else??? ;oD I will put a recipe up, tomorrow, on my blog in your honor. You are sooo cool!

    • Ohh wow! I would love to look through it! We also have a massive messy folder and lots of messy cookbooks but I wanted to start writing the good ones up as I cook them 🙂 iPads are so useful! They have apps for everything as well! Haha. Aww thank you! Looking forward to seeing it! 😀 xoxox

  5. Some years ago, my grandmother died and it took us several years to get around to cleaning out her very cluttered house. One of the treasures I found was a recipe book, where she had written in favorite recipes, as well as favorite crochet/knitting patterns, and many notes on all kinds of things. The ultimate scrapbook/journal/recipe book from a life I wish I had known more about 🙂

  6. I just started copying all of our family recipes (by hand) into a hardcover book for my kids. I never realized how many recipes we had from my grandmother until I started this task. Good luck with your new book!

    • Wow, I would love to see it! I have been meaning to do it for a while but my handwriting is awful! I bet your kids will love to look through all the delicious recipes (I know I did when I was a kid, and I still do now!) 🙂 xoxox

  7. I love Home Bargains! Shame I don’t have one anywhere near by to us but there is one 10 minutes away from my parents so I always go there when we are visiting! You can find great stuff there so cheaply. Also I thought I’d let you know that I heard there are Sally Hansen nail foils on sale in Poundland (originally £7). I will definitely have a look there tomorrow :)! Do you have twitter? xoxo

    • Me too! You always find little treasures there! Ohh wow, thanks for the tip! I’ll go check tomorrow too 😀 No, I don’t have a twitter, I wasn’t sure I would ever post anything on there haha xoxox

  9. Pretty! I have one that I’ve been meaning to fill out with my basic, quick, go-to recipes… as well as a few more complicated favorites. I only have a few entries so far.
